Tours, Events and Conferences

Many garden tours, plant sales, workshops, classes and conferences are annual events.  While it's hard to find out about the occasional event that might happen, this section of the Maine Garden Journal will inform you about where to look to find out about most of them.

Gardeners just love to talk to others who share their passion.

  • Garden tours are the ultimate boost to your creativity, food for thought and inspiration for the soul!
    • When I go on a garden tour, I delight in watching a gardener's eyes light up when I've noticed some special detail or plant in their garden.
    • Do-it-yourselfers are always eager to acquire new ideas that they can adapt to their yard.
  • Garden clubs, churches, Extension Service, Soil and Water Conservation, service organizations, as well as neighborhood fundraisers, have plant sales.  Many folks have started their first gardens with some of the treasures found at these sales.
  • Garden workshops, conferences and classes are popular in Maine.  A combination of long-time, experienced gardeners and novice dirt-diggers together in one room is energizing!

The Maine Garden Journal will inform you about the garden-inspired events that you don't want to miss!
